About Us

We are two mums in Geelong who are passionate about the environment and human rights. We decided to start this business as we want to provide parents with eco-friendly, sustainable and ethical products for their children. We decided to start the business when we were unable to find any modern cloth nappies in Geelong shops. We wanted to provide mums with the opportunity to touch and play with modern cloth nappies rather than just looking at them on the internet. But we also decided to expand on this and supply Geelong parents with non-toxic toys, fair trade gifts, organic cotton products and clothing and skincare.

Quill has two boys Ezekiel and Gabriel. She is passionate about the environment, human rights and sustainability. She is always striving to find new ways to be more sustainable in her every day life which is not always an easy task with a family as you may know yourself. When she had her first child in 2001 she found it difficult to find even the old fashioned cloth nappy sqaures and had to get a shop to order them in for her. Since then she has researched many wonderful and exciting modern cloth nappy solutions that were not available in Geelong at the time. Then one day while discussing the issue of not being able to find the products they wanted locally Quill and Cheryne decided to start a business themselves that would offer Geelong families the convenience of finding these products locally. Also giving people the oppotunity to play with the many (often confusing) modern cloth nappies found online.

Cheryne has one daughter Narelle. Her motivation for starting the business developed when she was in the early stages of her pregnancy. Following in her mothers footsteps, the decision to use cloth nappies was as easy choice, but little did she know just how difficult it would be to find the nappies she needed. After many frustrating trips out shopping for cloth nappies (even the basics like nappy squares), she decided to use the web and found many different options. But this presented with more challenges as it was hard to choose the nappy she wanted to use just looking at the pictures. She wanted to touch and play with them, but it wasn't possible so just purchased a selection of nappies to see how they would work. When her daughter was three months old she decided that there was a need in Geelong for a business that provides parents with a range of items that were at that time unavailable. That's when Quill and her got talking .....

Outside of the business Cheryne spends most of her time studying a degree in Public Relations at Deakin University, she also loves to make dresses for her daughter and cooking. But most of all she loves to play, dance, sing, paint and chat with her daughter who brightens all of her days.
